Priority

Priority can be set to High, Medium and Low.

All live entries are given a medium priority by default.

How it works

Priority sort

In your company microsite on ESI.info websites, entries are presented in the following order:

  1. High should be used for your key systems, products and emerging stars

  2. Medium is the default value is assigned to all entries when they are created

  3. Low is applied manually and should be used for accessories or marginal items (e.g. outsourced products)

Daily randomisation

Within each priority ranking, entries are shown in a daily randomised order.

This means your High priority entries will not always appear in the same order unless you only have 1 entry set to High priority.

The benefit is that prospect buyers will not always see the same products in the same order - we think this is useful as we don't know what they are interested in when they are browsing until they refine or make a selection.

Guidelines

High priority - leading products and systems, emerging stars.

Low priority - accessories, 3rd party outsourced products

Implementation

The task is to tag the high and low (if any) priority entries.

  1. Select Your Online Entries in the main navigation panel

  2. Choose the list view and select the value you want to apply

You can also set priority from the Edit page for an entry in the Status section.
